Patriot Front Marches on DC
BLUF:
likely not a Fed op, but interesting markers of leftist planning and involvement.
Numbers appear to be stable around 125-150 marchers for major events
No major violence linked to them, mostly marches, banner drops, and sticker campaigns
No institutional or corporate support (no Susan Rosenberg or Oscar Lopez Rivera here) and unlikely to gain traction
consistent and disciplined messaging
Fedjacketing is still dumb and counterproductive, don’t do it unless you’re absolutely convinced of guilt and it’s absolutely necessary.
Lefties are amplifying the ‘fed op’ narrative to further condition righties to be passive and atomized; learn good security culture instead of falling prey to paranoia.
Unless you were in a coma you probably caught the recent MSM histrionics over a group calling itself Patriot Front marching in the Nation’s capital this past weekend. Despite the commentary from some that PF just “sprang up”, the group has actually been around for a while now. They’re a post-Unite The Right successor organization to Vanguard America, and they’ve held quite a few of these events around the country. What’s really changed from before (and why it caught so much attention this time) is the messaging push, which appears to have been far more substantial and well thought than previous events. That, as well as some tactical improvements I found intriguing, are what I’d like to cover here.
The first thing that stands out to me here is that these sort of groups tend to be dumb, weird, and violent (who can forget '“cuckbox” Matt Heimbach? Or the Atomwaffen…whatever the fuck this is?) but PF basically hasn’t done anything in three years other than march, place stickers, and deface some George Floyd murals. That’s oddly restrained for this cohort. That’s also a strike against them being a Fed op, because they would have arrested someone for plotting some serious crimes by now if so. Informants basically get paid more for juicy plots, either no one is in it(I would find this surprising) or they’re fairly disciplined.
I do think there’s a solid chance they’re thoroughly penetrated by leftists however, which would explain both the lack of serious violence (because they would lack immunity deals for plotting such things) as well as some of the tactical developments.
For starters, they’re using protest marshals as well as armbands to mark key decision makers. The marshals are in the silver vests, but their media arm (Media2Rise) appears to be in yellow vests (Read last week’s piece or my Grant Park piece to see lefties implement the same) Watch the march below and pick out the different roles:
Granted there’s no rule that people can’t adopt the smart things lefties do, so it doesn’t prove lefties have taken over and are running things. Being thoughtful enough to swallow pride and borrow good ideas from your enemy is surprising though, especially considering how the normie right is still extremely resistant to it.
If I had to guess, I suspect they’re pretty thoroughly penetrated by leftists who have managed to acquire positions of influence. This would explain the messaging quality and tactical considerations, as well as the lack of violence. It also explains some foreknowledge lefties apparently had, as well as how quickly they coordinated and boosted the twitter account that claimed to be representing PF to advance the larger leftist narrative of lurking white supremacy justifying censorship and authoritarianism.
On the media side they appear to have put a lot of effort into making this go viral. Click on and check out the tweet threads below, some twitter users did some good OSINT work and found some irregularities with the initial reports around the march:
Leftist Infiltration confirmed:
Antifa Arrests
11 Antifa members were arrested and charged for conspiracy-related crimes in Southern California this week:
“The Defendants are alleged to be affiliated with ANTIFA and are organized into two groups, one originating from Los Angeles and the other from San Diego," reads the charging document. "ANTIFA is known to use force, fear, and violence to further their own interests and to suppress the interests of others. This tactic is referred to as 'Direct Action' and is known to mean acts of violence such as assault, battery, assault with deadly weapons, arson, and vandalism. The alleged object of this conspiracy was to incite and participate in a riot using direct action tactics."
As was bragged in TIME magazine and documented by me and others, much of the violence committed by the radical left only happens because of institutional cover and support. When those actions become counterproductive, those institutions are quick to suddenly find an interest in suppressing them. That’s essentially what is happening here.
Something else to consider: this appears to meet the criteria for a civil suit under the Ku Klux Klan Act, that is a powerful legal tool the left has proven all-too-willing to use against the UTR crowd and even Trump himself. Will the right put it to use as well? We will see.
